Turn one-time buyers into product reviews — automatically, a few days after they get their order.
Review Reminder sends one branded review-request email a set number of days after an order ships, linking straight to Magento's own review form. Reviews land in your store — where they earn trust and SEO — not on a third-party platform you rent. Set the delay once and it runs itself. A one-time $149 licence, no subscription.
Your happiest customers never leave a review — because nobody asks them.
Reviews are the social proof that sells the next order: shoppers trust them more than any copy you write, and a product page with reviews converts better than one without. But a customer who is delighted with their purchase almost never comes back on their own to say so. The moment passes, and the review you earned is gone.
Review Reminder closes that gap — it asks, once, at exactly the right moment, and sends the customer to your own Magento review form.
Ask at the right time. Keep the reviews. Never lift a finger.
Asks at the right moment
One review-request email a set number of days after the order ships — long enough that the customer has used the product, soon enough that they still remember it. Default seven days, set per store.
Keeps reviews native to Magento
The email links to Magento's own product-review form, so every review lives on your product page — earning trust and SEO for you — instead of on a third-party platform you pay to rent.
Runs itself, quietly
Set the delay once and it works on every future order — timezone-correct, multi-store aware, with one-click unsubscribe and a sensible retry cap. No dashboards to watch, no per-email fees.
The email your customers actually want.
This is the whole product, really: one clean, branded email that lands a few days after the box does. It greets the customer by name, references their order, and gives them a single obvious action — Write a Review — that takes them straight to your product's review form.
- Your store name and logo, the customer's first name, and their order number.
- One clear call to action — no clutter, no upsell, no second ask.
- A one-click unsubscribe link in the footer, using a random per-email token.
Set the delay once. It runs itself.
Setup is three fields on one screen. Turn it on, choose how many days after shipment the email should go out, and pick which of your Magento email identities it comes from. That is the entire configuration — there is nothing else to learn.
- Enable Review Reminders — and note the guardrail: reminders are never sent without an active licence, even when this is set to Yes.
- Delay Days — the number of days after the order ships (default 7), per store view.
- Email Sender — any of your existing Magento store email identities.
Reviews that live on your store — not someone else's.
The button in the email leads here — to Magento's own Write Your Own Review form on your product page. That is the whole point: the review is a native Magento review. It shows on the product page, counts toward the star rating, and carries its SEO weight for you. Nothing is stored on, or shared with, an outside service.
- The customer reviews the exact product they bought, on your storefront.
- Reviews appear natively — no embed, no widget, no third-party account.
- You moderate them in Magento's own review admin, as you already do.
Three steps, then it is hands-off.
1 · An order ships
When you ship an order, Review Reminder quietly schedules a single reminder for that customer — with a random unsubscribe token — and does nothing visible.
2 · The delay passes
A background cron waits your configured number of days (default seven), timezone-correct, then sends the one review-request email from your chosen identity.
3 · The customer reviews
They click through to your native Magento review form and leave a review that lives on your product page. Failed sends retry a few times, then stop — never spam.
How to send automatic review-request emails in Magento 2
- Install Review Reminder and activate your licence for the website.
- Go to Stores → Configuration → Sales → Review Reminder.
- Set Enable Review Reminders to Yes.
- Set Delay Days to how long after shipment the email should go out (default 7).
- Pick an Email Sender identity and save. From then on, every shipped order gets one review request automatically.
How to change the review-reminder delay or sender per store
- In Stores → Configuration, switch the scope selector to the store view you want.
- Uncheck Use Website next to Delay Days and enter a store-specific number of days.
- Do the same for Email Sender if that store should send from a different identity.
- Save. Each store view now has its own timing and sender; the reminder cron is timezone-correct per store.
Every setting is store-view scoped — one licence covers all the store views on your domain.
Rented reviews, or reviews you own
An honest comparison — not a testimonial we cannot yet earn.
A reviews SaaS platform
- A monthly subscription that scales with your order volume.
- Reviews hosted on their platform, shown through a widget you embed.
- Stop paying and the social proof can go with them.
- Another external service holding your customers' data.
With Review Reminder
- One-time $149 licence — no per-order or per-email fees, ever.
- Reviews are native Magento reviews, on your product pages, with your SEO.
- Self-hosted — the email is sent by your own Magento, nothing leaves your store.
- Own it outright; it keeps working whether or not you renew updates.
Why merchants pick Review Reminder
Reviews stay native
Unlike Yotpo, Judge.me or Trustpilot, reviews land in Magento's own system — on your product pages, counting toward your ratings and SEO, not on a rented platform.
Own it, don't rent it
A perpetual licence per domain — one price, no monthly fee, no charge per email or per order. Your review flow does not stop when an invoice lapses.
Self-hosted and private
The email is sent by your own Magento and the review stays in your database. No third-party service ever sees your customers or their data.
Well-timed, never spammy
One request per order at the right moment, one-click unsubscribe, and a retry cap that abandons undeliverable emails instead of hammering an inbox.
Multi-store aware
Per-store delay and sender, timezone-correct scheduling, and one licence that covers every store view on the domain.
Built to the family standard
Backend module, PHP 8.4, Magento 2.4.8+, covered by a test suite that exercises the real ship-to-send flow — not just unit mocks.

Questions, answered.
No. The email links to Magento's own product-review form, so every review is a native Magento review on your product page. It counts toward your star rating and its SEO value is yours. Nothing is stored on, or shared with, a third-party service.
One per order. Review Reminder schedules a single request when the order ships and sends it once, after your configured delay. If a send genuinely fails it is retried a few times and then abandoned — it never repeatedly nags a customer.
A configurable number of days after the order ships — seven by default. A timezone-correct background cron handles the timing, and you can set a different delay per store view.
Yes — every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link built on a random per-email token, so it cannot be guessed from the customer's address.
It works on any theme — Luma, Hyvä, Lurox or your own — because it is a backend module that sends an email and links to Magento's native review form. It is a one-time $149 perpetual licence per domain, not a subscription.
The licence is perpetual — it does not expire. An active licence is required for reminders to send (the config makes this explicit), and your 12 months of updates keeps you on the latest version; after that you keep the version you have.
Need a reminder rule we don't ship?
Review Reminder does one thing well: one well-timed, native review request per order.
If you need something more — a second nudge a week later when there's still no review, a rule that only emails for certain products, or a different template — tell us. We build these on top of Review Reminder, so you keep the native reviews and the self-hosted simplicity.
